This morning when I woke up, the house was bathed in a surreal fog, rare and unknown to Sardinia. Perhaps, the ash cloud of the Icelandic volcano unpronounceable name (Eyjafjallajökull) had also arrived on the island?
Actually the headlines on the front page, were all characterized by blockage of air travel, now extended to most of Europe's skies. Today
airports will be involved also in northern Italy, and perhaps even those of Sardinia.

Wherever evoke apocalyptic images (if it continues the volcanic eruption), as the "year without summer" of 1816, or the "Friday the ashes."
Meanwhile, the TV program films like "The Day After Tomorrow" or "The Ice Storm ".....
seems a twist of fate, if not the reality, too dramatic for some.

Every so often, the Earth reminds us that it is always the strongest and that we must treat it with respect.
