Hands off the water!

By Decree-Law 135/09 Article 15 into law, the Government has initiated the process of privatization of water, in other words, the water is donated to individuals and in turn delivered to the interests of large multinationals to make a new business.

In recent days have increased mobilizations launched by the movements for the water so that we can promote a referendum to reject any possibility of privatization.

Water is an irreplaceable source of life for ecosystems, the availability of which depends the future of living beings.

Therefore, water is a common good of humanity, the universal common good, a common public good, therefore unavailable, which belongs to all.

Access to water, if not tackled democratically, according to the principles of fairness, justice and respect for the environment, is a root cause of tension and conflict within the community International, a real democratic emergency, and land required for authentic paths of peace both at the regional level both nationally and internationally.

I am for a public management because water is a shared, essential for life and not speculative.
